Group by a column?

Hi all,

 

How do I group by a certain column if I'm using a JRTableModelDatasource? Can I set something on the <reportElement> in XML?

 

Right now I've written a custom DS to do this, but I was wondering whether an easier way exists.

In order to group in JasperReports, you need to use an appropriately sorted DataSource.

 

Once you have sorted your DS, then you can use the <Group> tags effectively.
