Dynamically generates report

Hi All,

 

Can anybody here share your experience on how to generate reports dynamically?

 

My situation is that we have a lot of inquiry screens which need to have a printing funcationality. All the data are on the screens, but it's hard to get the raw SQL statements due to the complication of the screens. I don't want to customize the printing feature for every single screen. I would like to have a generatic solution.

 

So JDBC datasource doesn't work. Another option I could think is passing an array of JavaBeans as the datasource. However it needs to create several JavaBeans for every single screen.

 

 

I am wondering if you happen to have the experience on that and please show some light on me.
