i noticed that jasperreport 1.1.1 renders jrxml demo reports created from jasperreport 1.0.3 - at least the ones i have tried.Â

how long do you intend to support (render) 1.0.3 demo reports (written for jasperreports 1.0.3)? e.g. when should a report author plan on updating their jrxml files as a dependency of an updated jasperreports lib?Â

i noticed that jasperreport 1.1.1 can compile, fill and print demo reports from the jasper report 1.0.3 release - at least the ones i have tried. Â

my questions are:Â

1- given a report designed to compile, fill print under jasperreports 1.0.3, will there be a day when that jrxml report description will no longer compile, fill or print under a future version of jasper reports?Â

2- is there a specific window of forwards compatibility for a jrxml design created on 1.0.3?Â
