Exporting and Importing reports in Jasper Server 7.9 - deploying from development to production environment

Recommended Posts

I have reports that are scheduled in my Production environment.  When I modify the report in the Development environment, I want to Export it and Import into Production without having to delete the report (and schedules), and without the Data Source being updated to the Development data source.

This is how I currently do it:

Export from Development

Import into Production

First delete the report.  Then

If I tick Update then it also updates the Data Source, which I don't want.

I have tried unticking Include Dependencies on Export, but then I get an error message about broken dependencies.

I also tried putting the data source under Public, as per the Jaspersoft documentation, but still getting the Broken Dependencies error on Import:
