2005 IR Help
By: sumtinjava - sumtin Creating Bar graphs by sizing rectangles 2004-04-21 14:05 Hello, I am currently working on a project with Jasper Reports and wanted to know if it is possible to specify rectangle height and/or width as a parameter when the report is filled? It seems textual information can be passed and displayed but I don't see how the dimensions of a rectangle could be passed. I want to specify the width or height of a rectangle for building a bar graph by using a value from the database as the width or height of a rectangle. I don't have to pass the data in as a parameter neccesarily but I need to specify the rectangle's height or width some way or another. The only way I saw to do this was by loading in the report file before filling it and changing the properties in Java. Is this the only way?
