Problems with changing String parameters to integer to use in the DB query

good morning, how are you? My name is Uedem, I studied Java a long time ago and I'm returning to practice, I have a question. Can you help me? I was using Ireport in netbeans but netbeans 19 didn't work, so I migrated to jaspersoft, by the way, it's a spectacular tool, but when I go to do a special select in the jaspersoft query, changing String data to integers gives me an error. example select * from tbos where os=$P{os};this works in ireport but how would it look in jaspersoft? Can you help me?
