how to pass Field as parameter in hyperlink t

hi,

i m using hyperlink for a field on master report. and on click of this field i should get a detail report. how do i pass this field as parameter to sub report. and how will i retrieve this passed parameter in subreport to execute the query. i m really in geat need .Pls help
