How to avoid Heap Space out of memory exception with jasper reports CrossTab design

Hi,

I am using Jasper Report with CrossTab design, and trying to export data into pdf format. i added the property Igonore Pagination=FALSE to split the floating data into multiple pages dynamically. when i select less number of user records it is working fine, but when i select more number of records and trying to generate report it is giving me Heap Space out of Memory exception.How do i handle this?

Additional Information: Similier way of implementation for few other reports working fine without any issues, the only difference is number of Row groups and column groups. My report has more number of  Row groups and Column groups when compared to other reports. this measurements will it cause any memory issues??how can i handle this ?

You must configure JVM args form tomcat's jaspersevrer.

Add more memory depending on JVM version.

Something like this:

JAVA_OPTS=-Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:PermSize=32m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m
