Jaspersoft 6.4.0 server scheduler sending multiple emails

I recently had to change the 'from' email address for a report that gets sent out daily. The 'from' address change was made in the jasperreports-server-cp-6.4.0apache-tomcatwebappsjasperserverWEB-INFjs.quartz.properties.

In addition,  the 'To' email addresses were changed in the http://localhost:8080/jasperserver/scheduler/main.html. The jasperreports server service was stopped and started. In addition, the computer hosting the Jasperserver was also restarted. 

However, the server sends out 2 emails with the report now at the same time every day

• first one using the old set of 'from' and 'to email addresses

• second one using the new set of 'from' and 'to' email addresses

What could be causing this?

As a sanity check, if you were to undo everything do you still see two emails sent for the same schedule?
