JSON datasource - is dynamic URI possible from parameters

I would like to setup a dynmic JSON data soure so I can dynamically pass the query parameters to the API end point from the Jasper parameters.

https://mycoolapi.com/myresource?type=$P{type}&sort=$P{sort}

Is that possible?
