isBlankWhenNull issue

I have several fields that I have set <textField isBlankWhenNull="true"> , but when the report runs its still printing "null" instead of empty space....any ideas what could cause this??

Hi,

 

Maybe your text field is of type String and the value

displayed is not null, but the four letter word "null".

Maybe there are other elements in the textfield expression like appending to another string or field.
