dynamic subreport layout

I need to create a report that has sub-sections (groups?). These subsections can have different layouts (item title left, item description right....versus item title top, item description bottom). Layout needed it specified in the bean via a "section type".

 

Any ideas how to accomplish this?

...i am a newbie, so take this with a grain of your favorite flavor enhancer... ...iReports offers GUI env for creation of xml design files (.jrxml). iReport offers subreports... ...another option would be to look in the latest distro (1.0.1?) of jr and look at the subreport example in ~/demo/samples/subreport
