Alternative to SQL query, configure customDS

Hi,

 

I noticed that only SQL-based reports have a queryString element to configure them, other datasources that may need their own settings, like scripts, don't have a place to pass them. I'm currently using the queryString parameter to pass scripts to our custom script data source, but it feeld a bit like a hack, and brings some problems, since the $P and the like aren't substituted.

Perhaps I should have posted in open discussion.

 

Isn't anyone else that uses custom data sources having this problem ?
