What should I do if I want to use different language text in Jasper

Hi All, 

 

Have a nice day. I would like to know what should I have to study if I want to use different languages in Jasper iReport 4.0.2 ?  For example, DESCRIÇÃO/DESCRIPTION in a statis text field ? Do I need to install this language and where ? Could any one pls help me ?

The reason why I ask for thie clarification is because if I use the below in a static text field I'm getting the below error. 

ERROR          : java.lang.Exception: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 98; columnNumber: 25; Invalid byte 2 of 2-byte UTF-8 sequence.
