Hi All,

 

Greetings!!!

 

I am newbie to Jasper. I want to change the background color of a Textfield at Run Time based on a field value in my resultset.

 

For Ex:

Query : = Select Leave_Days From Leave_Master

 

If Leave_Days > 10 Then I have to Display the corresponding text field in red.

 

How can I achieve this.

 

2. Can we write any piece of code on the control level itself?

 

 

The Version of various things are as follows

Jasper Version is : jasperreports-0.6.8

JasperAssitant :JasperAssistant_1.5.5

Eclipse 3

 

I would appreciate if some one can also tell us which is the best and widely used font end tool for Jasper Reports. We evaluated couple and found jasperassitant to be most reasonable till now..

This two links are very helpful.

 

I have a query in background color query as explained in the jasperreport tips tricks page.

Is there any other better way for this kind of requirement... for eg if i have to assign out of 4 colors based on some condition... this approach will defiitely achieve that but i have to keep 4 controls and then use hide unhide...and If there are 6 fields then for this I have to keep 24 controls..

is there any other optimze way to do that..

Your point is very valid from developer's perspective.
