How to flow table data on the one page

Hello all

I am fairly new to Jaspersoft, but I think I have my head around the basic concepts, but this issue is beyond my current level of knowledge!

I am trying to build a report with the followingstructure:

Data Field

Seq. No

Blank 1

Blank 2

Blank 3

Data Field

Seq. No

Blank 1

Blank 2

Blank 3

Data Field

Seq. No

Blank 1

Blank 2

Blank 3

Data Field

Seq. No

Blank 1

Blank 2

Blank 3

Data Field

Seq. No

Blank 1

Blank 2

Blank 3

$F{Data Field}

$V{REPORT COUNT}

Continue from Data Field

Continue from Seq No

Continue from Data Field

The data in the first Data Field needs to then flow to the second Data Field, and then the third and so on, and the Report Count should continue to count until it fills all rows and columns. Once the data has populated all of the fields on the first page, it should then move onto the second page.

I have looked at groups, expressions and everything else I can think of, but nothing seems to solve my problem.

Here's hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Does anyone have any idea on how to do this?

Just in case anyone stumbles on this thread in the future, the answer is that the column settings will only work if the table is placed in the Detail band!
