Simple way for report user to change the datasource?

We design reports using iReport, and then deploy to Jaspersoft BI Server on AWS. When designing the report, you need to select a data source, and when deployed it uses that data source. 

Is there a way to show several data sources as a parameter, and then the report will execute using the selected data source?

That's a great question, and thank you for sparking me to research it!

In iReport it can't be done, because with iR the server can't open multiple connections at the same time.

If you want to switch to Jaspersoft Studio, however, you can, and it's fairly intuitive. The 5.5 Studio release is planned for the end of this month.

Something like that can be done in Jasperserver Repository, as user, or only using jasper studio as admin
