elements dont appear properly on the browser?

i created a jasper report using ireports 4.1, as shown in the webapp demo provided by the jasper reports 0.6.5 bundle , i tried to view the report using a JSP. It works fine with windows and RedHatLinux 9 but when i tried to do the same on solaris all the report data appears properly but the images are not shown. The only images i used are the horizontal lines just to seperate the coloumn headings from the contents and the alignment images used by jasper reports. I am using tomact 5.9.5(latest stable released from Apache) and jdk 1.5.0. Please help me to pin point whats the problem?

Could you post the JSP code? I've been trying to preview a report for weeks.
