markwreed Posted February 16, 2013 Share Posted February 16, 2013 If I purchase Jaspersoft on the Amazon EC2 marketplace, can I start and stop it like any other EBS instance. I am an integrator and would like to demo this to customers, but want to keep my costs low. Will I only be charged the $0.40/hr while the instance is running. In other words, if I stop an instance ( but don't terminate it ), will I still be charged. Ultimately, my customers would probably be purchasing reserved instances and have them up all the time, but for demo purposes, I just need it up sporadically.
