Excel image problem

I want to include an image with an Excel report built in Jasper. When I run the report in PDF mode the image is included; when I export the file as XLS the image is not displayed. Any idea wha't's happening?

Hi,

 

The Jakarta POI library that we use when exporting the report to XLS format does not currently supports images.

I found that the Java Excel can support the Image to Excel.Why not support this?Any reasons?
