need help with adding html content in ireports

Hi i just started using iReport tool. I need to integrate a html page as part of my report. The content of the html page is taken dynamically from the database.

I have seen posts where people had suggested to use html as markup. I have changed the text field as markup but how and where do i add content to it.

Have you tried using the HTML component? The JR library has an example: http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/sample.reference/genericelement/index.html#genericelements

yea. but where do i write the html code. is it written as static text?? and i want the final output in pdf format not in html

The HTML code is put into an expression so it might be a field that comes from your database, or hard coded or really anything can "write" the HTML code
