Using Splunk to track Jasper Data

Is there anyone out there that has used Splunk to monitor their Jasper?  We are looking to use Splunk to monitor the audit data including, inputs used, reports run, report execution times, etc.  We have chosen Splunk over the standard Jasper reports so that non-technical users can get a quick snapshot of how things are going in production easier.

JasperServer has a builtin audit mechanizm which has a mock implementation in CE.

The wiring is in js.sprint.properties:

    bean.auditContext=dummyAuditContext

User can implement the AuditContext interface and wire thier own bean to capture events and write them to a log file or Splunk.
