are there other ways to output an HTML format report other than using the JRHtmlExporter object?

Is there some deficiency with the JRHtmlExporter? You can always use this as a base to roll-you-own.

 

What you probably want to do is to modify the jasperReport object before filling it. You would want to change the margins (the browser uses its own anyway) and get rid of the page breaks making an infinitely long report. I can do it, but it's not pretty.
