iReport 4.6.0 MSSQL on Ubuntu not working

I have installed iReport on Ubuntu 12.04

added jtds-1.2.5.jar  to /opt/iReport-4.6.0/ireport/modules/ext/

Added jtds-1.2.5.jar to the classpath in iReport.

still get "net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver" not found.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

I installed the same jar in the same way in iReport 4.6 in windows 7 and that worked like a charm.

 Hmm. Interesting.

When you try to add a Database JDBC connection, and when you look at the drop-down list of JDBC drivers, does the entry for net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver appear in black text or red text? (Red means it can't find it in the classpath).

Also, how did you add the JAR file to the classpath? I added that JAR file using Tools->Options->Classpath and then I added the JAR there, and that works for me. Is this what you did too? (I tested this on Ubuntu 12.04, iReport 4.6, using the jtds-1.2.5.jar on the Sourceforge.)

that is exactly what i did (several times)

Today I downloaded the jtds again from sourceforge and tried again. Now my MSSQL driver is black and not red.

Geuss my jar file was corrupted in some way????

Thanx for helping.
