Hi, I have an urgent need for a resolution.

 

My client wants to display text fields in a database that contain embedded HTML tags in jasper reports.

 

My understanding of jasper is you can have embedded styling within a field by enabling the StyledText property and using <style> tags. From what I can see though, the jasper style tag is not the same as the html style tag. has anybody done this before and worked it out?

So far my solutions are: 1) have 2 fields 1 containing html and the other containing the jasper style tags

2) Use a preprocessor to parse the html on the fly into jasper style tags.
