variables and subreports

I have a very simple report that accepts a few parameters and contains a variable.  It all works perfectly fine.

 

I then added this report as a subreport and it doesn't come up as a sub report.  It was all working fine until I added the variable.

Is there anything that needs setting when your sub report contains a variable??

Hi, i'm not sure to understand well your problem, do you have an error when you generate your subreport ? Does simply the subreport is not showing anything ? Does your variable needs to be filled from main report or not ?

Although I can't say for sure this will work, try assigning a new parameter with the value of the variable in your main report, then "pass" that new parameter to your subreport which needs to also have that new parameter included in it's parameter list.

The main report holds 3 sub reports the other 2 sub reports appear fine no problems.  The thirs sub report just isn't there.

I am assing the varaible a value from within the report and then doing a simple if statement saying If the variable value is > then 16500 then "passed" else "fail"
