Hi, I have to set the width of a textfield dynamically?

The only way to do this is to build your JRXML file dynamicly in code and set the width of the field. Then you complie and run you created file.

Dynamic Jasper is a good option to create reports dinamically and set the widht of each textfield depending on the value it has. But I think it's not  compatible with iReport. I mean, is not possible to create a template with iReport and use Dynamic Jasper to add a dynamic textfield to it (tell me if I'm wrong). Maybe iReport has another feature to set it dinamically but I don't know it.

JRXML template files support:
You can use a base template jrxml file in which common styles, company logo, water mark, etc can be pre defined.

 

JRXML can be created with iReport...
you can make some tests to verify it...
