gjiva
We are required to use MS SQL Server in our environment, and I was wondering if this was possible. It looks like JasperServer uses Hibernate for the DB access layer, so it seems like it would be. However, after changing the context.xml and hibernate.properties to use MS SQL Server JDBC driver and dialect, I'm getting SQLGrammarExceptions. Is MySQL syntax embedded in the code also, or does the code just use straight Hibernate?
ramnik
You should be able to use MS SQL srerver as ur DB. Mysql syntax is not embedded in code. It may be , however , samples wont work ok bcaz by default , sample reports are designed to work on Mysql For Jasperserver-Pro, you can choose the MS SQL server Db while doing deployment itself. gjiva
Ok, great! Is there documentation on what needs to be changed in order to use another database?
ramnik
For jasperserver Professional , the information abt deployment to different databases is in install Guide. You can use the steps described in Install Guide to install on any supported platform and Database. Ramnik KaurSenior QA Engineer
