Count if it contains string=abc

Hi,

i want to create a line chart.

x axis - timeline ( 24 hours)

y axis - number of cells which contains the string "abc"

I tried to declare a variable with java.lang.integer and calculation method sum...but anyhow it doesn't work...

could you please help me?

 

I am using a excel spreadsheet.

 three columns: yxz | date | time

i want to count the cells of column 'time' when column yxz  contains the string  "abc"

Hi kasper,

try this for your variable expression: ($F{yxz}.contains("abc") ? $F{time} : null ). Set the calculation to "Count".

Hi kaspar,

the code snippet I posted was for java. You use groovy in your report, right? I'm sorry but I don't know how the if-statement should look like to use it in groovy.
