global path variable

hi i would like to create a global string variable that tells me the actual path being used, that is the actual workspace, so that i can export my jobs into linux solaris windows seamlessly.

There is no feature to get workspace path into a global variable at the moment, although it's likely to appear in future releases.

 

As a workaround, to get the location of your workspace, you can go to the main toolbar: Window -> Preferences
Then to Talend -> Appearance -> Designer, in the Preferences box
And the value is under "Component default filepath"

unfortunately no :(, i have to run my etl on several machines through a ssh console, so i just export the job scripts and use the sh or bat file avaliable.

 

the problem is that i use txt files to do my tables updates, instead of toraclerow comoponents cause they can only do an update at a time, so i just run the file.

 

In export job scripts the location of the file i just wish it could be path/my_folder/myupdates.txt
