roybatty
Hello,i just started evaluating jasperreports and ireport and ran into problems right away... 1. i downloaded ireport 3.5.2 and wanted to set up a datasource against our sybase server. However, when i do the "create datasource", there's a dropdown with mysql, postgres, and Sybase, but some of them, including the sybase one, is displayed in red text, i guess indicating that the driver class can't be found. How's this, is the driver not part of the ireport installation? MySQL and postgres aren't red, so they seem ok. Any input?2. I tried adding a new driver jar to the classpath using the "options" window, but there's no way to specify a "custom" jdbc connection? how do i do that? Thankful for pointers!Post Edited by roybatty at 06/29/2009 09:
baggypants
You were very nearly there! If you add the sybase java driver to the classpath in the options screen then the Sybase option should then appear in black on the database connectors list you were looking at in step
