dgarratt
I'm trying to print a barcode report. At the moment I have a simple report where for each record in my source table I have 1 page in my report. I would now like to amend the report so that each input record yeilds 2 pages (identical). CurrentRecord 1 ----> Page 1Record 2 ----> Page 2 RequiredRecord 1 -----> Page 1 -----> Page 2 Record 2 ------> Page 3 -------> Page 4 Each Page is A5 and despite messing around with the insert page break option in iReports 3.x I cannot seem to get what I need. Can anyone shed any light on this. Thanks Dave
blaguman
Hi Dave,Have you tried to put your records in a Group, and make it start a new page for each grouped data ? Regards,Morgan
dgarratt
Not sure I understand how that would work. My source data has unique id for each input record so I think I would get a new group for each record, but only 1 group. Can you elaborate on what you mean so I can undertand more. dgarratt
Ah ! I see what you mean - label 1 on the group header, label 2 on the group footer, page break in the detail section and the specify that each group should start on a new page. I will try that. Many thanks for the idea Dave
blaguman
Hi Dave !What about your issue ? Is it solved ? Regards,Morgan
dgarratt
I'm going to have to experiment with the report page size etc as I'm not sure how it works when the designed page size is twice the height of the physical page that I'm printing on (e.g. 2 x A5) I'll let you know how I get on. dgarratt
Well it seems to work, at least from a printing perspective. However my print preview shows the page as the design length rather than the physical length as determined by the page break. Thanks Dave
