report in xls

hello, i have a problem with report in xls file
especially with printing this report, because its bigger than A4 format, so some data are cut
anyone can give me a solution?
can i in ireport set a print page setup? or in some lines of code in xls exporter?

Hi,

 

Why do you make your reporte template bigger than A4, if you are supposed to print it on an A4 paper?

And even if the Excel sheet content is bigger than A4, I think Excel knows how to print it on multiple A4 pages. Printing from Excel is outside JR functionality.

teodord, my report is quite typical with page size A4, but when i'll try to print it from xls file, the printed version it seems bigger then real, and some data was cut

Hi,

I have same problem.

It seems that page margins of xls with JRXlsExporter are not set correctly . So if  margins in report template are larger than default xls margin, the xls cannot be printed in one page.

And after making xls with JasperReprots I set correct margins with POI. This xls can be printed in one page.

With JExcelApiExporter all margins are set to zero.
