2002 JI Open Discussion
By: Andy Deighton - andyxr HTML: lines etc. 2003-11-28 11:12 Hi, I love my PDF output but when output as HTML, it sucks! :-) With no line or rectangle support, my report looks dull. Is there any way of at least mimicking these elements using table shading, for example? Andy UK By: Teodor Danciu - teodord RE: HTML: lines etc. 2003-11-28 12:12 Hi, If you take a look at the provided samples, you'll see that the HTML output matches almost exactly the PDF. The problem is that the so-called "grid" exporters like the HTML and the XLS exporters cannot deal very well with overlapping elements. This is because we cannot put two elements in the same cell. Make sure you don't have elements that overlap, like rectangles that add some border around other elements. If you need such a border effect you need to build it from multiple lines. I hope this helps. Teodor
