I'm doing something silly here. I have all the required commons JARs in my WEB-INF/lib folder and both of the jasperreports JARs.. however, when I attempt to compile a test XML report file, it tells me it cant find the following packages:-

 

dori.jasper.engine.fill

dori.jasper.engine

 

which is ridiculous becuase they are in the JAR file in WEB-INF/lib

 

This has me banging my head against a brick wall so I would appreciate a solution before I do myself some serious injury!!

Ignore that!!

 

Just noticed how the jasper class.path system property is quite an important feature when compiling in a servlet... somehow managed to miss the webapp examples before!
