dprogrammer
Hi, I have a report that has only two columns, ID and Name. To save space I want the columns to first go top to bottom till end of first page, then start over again at top and go to bottom. Just like a news paper columns. In Crystal reports there is a property called 'Format with Multiple Columns" that does that automatically. Is there anything like that in Ireport? Or any alternate way of achieving the same out put? I am using version 1.2.8. Thanks in advance.Desired sample out put:------------------------------------------------------------ID Name ID Name1 abc 4 hij2 cde 5 klm3 efg 6 nopPage 1 of 1------------------------------------------------------------ID Name ID Name7 qrs 10 z8 tuv 11 zzz9 wxy
jmastajam
HiI dont know about ireport version 1.2.8. I'm using iReport version 3.0.0 and the way you accomplish this is:1. Edit -> Report Properties -> Columns tab2. Change columns value from 1 to 2. It's THAT simple.HTH,Nghia

The first column appear fine but the problem is the second column print right on the top of the page and overlap the data of the page header. Can anyone help please? tanyan
I just noticed that I placed the text for the header in the "detail" section instead of the "page header" section of ireport. It's ok now. Thanks anyway.
