Please Help - JasperReports 0.5.0 X JDK 1.4.1

Hi All!

 

I have tried to use JasperReports 0.5.0 with JDK 1.4 but they don't work together. I used with JDK 1.3 and it's ok.

 

Does someone have an idea?

What issues are you having? I am using Jasper 0.5.0 with Sun JDK 1.4.2 with absolutely no problems. I had previously run Jasper on both JDK 1.2.2 and JDK 1.3.1 with no problems.

 

One issue, off the top of my head, is that JDK 1.4.x comes with an XML parser. Perhaps you are seeing a conflict in this regard.

The report can't fill. It's compile ok, but when I try to fill data not appear. The report is generated only with static text.

 

Can you explain more about XML parser and JDK 1.4.x?

I just know that many people who have trouble with XML related tasks that migrate from previous JDKs to JDK 1.4.x don't take into account the fact the 1.4.x packages an XML parser.

 

But, the fact that you were able to compile your report takes the focus off of the XML and puts it elsewhere.

 

Before going too much farther, change the height of one of your text fields to be more than big enough to hold the text at the given font-size.

 

Then maybe we can eliminate some other things.
