No data in my report?

Hi,

 

As a newbie, I've just installed the latest iReport on XP, and testing out a new report using a mysql db and the new report wizard.

 

Problem is that although I am connected to the db fine, and it shows all mt table columns in query builder, I do a simple select query on all rows, but the compiled html report only shows the labels. no Data. It prints all the labels for each row in the table, so it must find rows, but the actual values are just blank?

 

Is there a config issue here, or am I doing something wrong? In the query builder, is there any test query option that allows one to preview the result set before runnng the report?

Have you tried running the query in a query tool to verify that it's returning values?
