The selected Jrxml could not be parsed.

I have created the report using ireport 2.0.5. Now when i try to add this report in jasper server. it gives the error "The selected Jrxml could not be parsed."

Please help.

I also got the same issues, and as pointed, it was due to version mismatch between iReport and JssperServer. Some of the tags where deprecated in new iReport and iReport changed those to new ones. But when I tried deploying it, the older version of JasperServer rightly complained!!!

Just check on the versions once.

Just a quick note. I got the same error, but the versions of iReport and jasperreports on JasperServer were perfectly compatible.

 

I found that the issue was that the file was stored in ANSI encoding ... but Jasper expected it in UTF-8. I just converted my file to UTF-8 and uploaded again. Worked fine.

 

Just noting this down here, in case somebody else finds this thread and it helps.

Sonalb, how did you do that exactly? I have a specific report giving me the same error. Both iReport and JasperServer are 3.7. Some other simpler reports could be parsed fine.

 

What else should I look for?

Look into the JasperServer log under WEB-INF/logs.  The exact exception should help in determining the cause.

 It was the tag "Keep Together" in a Report Group.

Funny thing is that this option exists on iReport, but is not accepted on Jasper Server.
