Inversed group

After creating a group on a variable (AgeGroup) it seems that grouping is inversed. When in detail section the AgeGroup is different, they are combined in the grouping. When in the detail section the AgeGroup is the same, each line is grouped separately.

Hoping that somebody can help me figuring this out.

Many thanks in advance for your help! [file name=test004_graphic_age_group.jrxml size=49190]

Here's a PDF with an example. It is obvious that e.g. the group '31-40' should be grouped, but instead '<15' and '15-18' and the first instance of '31-40' are grouped. Hereafter each instance of '31-40' is displayed as a separate group in the group footer. [file name=wrong_grouping_example.pdf size=7759]

I assume you mean Data > Report Query > Sort options?

I cannot add a variable (AgeGroup is a report defined variable) into the sort options.

So I have a Group based on AgeGroup, but it is sorted on Gender and Age.

My query string is:

Code:
                SOAP SMGetALLPeopleData_COMPID_Status_Manager_JobTitle_Location_Division http://schemas.sse.com/humanwave/wsapp .//tuple {3C989FA3-86A7-47DF-8462-4879FA91463B} A A 1 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 1 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 1 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 1 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ]]>[/code]

And I don't know how to add a ORDER BY to that...
