Empty ResultSet

Hello,

 

I have a .jasper file. It show the buys of January ( for example ). The report is showed correctly for this month. But for February is showed a blank report.

 

The database contains registries for January; February have not entries.

 

I need show a message for Empty resultSet.

 

How I can do it?.

 

The report is in PDF format.

Hi,

you can put a text field with a simple word saying "NO DATA" in the no data seccion, and then select "when no data : no-data section" , its in the panel to your right, and when the report will be empty, will show your message.

Hi!

Ok, you must do right click in the report and select band props. then select the no data section, and modifi his size.

Then the section apear, put the text field, and select the option for the data section apear when no data in the report.

I have ireport 2.0.3 but sometimes dont work in a old version of jasperserver.

I find the "noData" band. Could you give me a example for manage empty resultSet?.

 

The noData band haves an expression inputTextArea. What I must put in?.
