mdahlman
I can think of two ways to attack this problem. You mention choosing 1 customer or all customers. But how about choosing 3 customers? 1. You can use the Multi-select Query input control to select several customers. Use the syntax $X{IN, colName, paramName} to get the correct SQL. More notes on $X here (and even more in the Ultimate and Definitive Guides, of course). If you select no customers then it generates SQL that won't be limited to a specific customer. 2. If your requirement truly is just 1 or all, then you could add a second booleam param called ALL_CUSTOMERS. SQL like this would get want you want:...where ((cust_id = $P{CUSTOMER_ID}) or ($P{ALL_CUSTOMERS}=1)) When ALL_CUSTOMERS is true (1) then you get all customers. When ALL_CUSTOMERS is false then you get only one customer. Normally I prefer solution 1 above. But either might be appropriate in the right circumstance. -Matt

kelly
Hi Eveyone, I also have a question about single select query input control. What I want to do is: create 3 input controls, the second query of input control will depends on the first result. The second one is like first control's sub control. And the Third one is depends on thesecond one's result. Is there any way can make it in JasperServer? Thanks in advance! Kelly
lucianc
kelly wrote:What I want to do is: create 3 input controls, the second query of input control will depends on the first result. This is not yet supported in JasperServer. It is on the roadmap, so it will proably get implemented in a couple of versions. jkalten
Hi!Has this problem above been fixed in the version 3.5.0? If not, is there some way to solve it? (the selection of the one input control depends on the result of the selection of the input control before)Thanks,Julia
Gaby38
As far as I remember, I read recently on this forum that this was planned for the release of the end of the year.Meanwhile, Swood said that a "patch" would be soon available.
