Grouping problem

Hi ALL,

 

I had created a simple report with the emp query. In that i grouped the deptno column. Even then the resulted records are not grouped based on the deptno field. Still it shows record by record.

 

May i know where is the problem.

Try this.

First sort by deptno.

Form what you wrote I think you may be keeping the fields in details band.

If yes then keep them in groups header/footer.

Show me your jrxml file.
