pbrain
Why is one cell stretching over multiple columns in excel. For example, on cell is stretching over columns A,B, and C. Thanks,Pat
jmurray
When jasperReports renders for Excel it tries to create the output as if it were a printed page. To do this is steals columns and rows for whitespace and does other tricky stuff that makes the thing look pretty, but as a spreadsheet it's totally useless! Try rendering in CSV instead if you want something more functional. You'll need to control the output of headers and footers (ie. set Print When Expressions) so that they don't end up in the middle of the data.
