questions about chart label and data presentation

Hello again,

I have 2 questions about iReport.

 

1. In a chart, how can I make the horizontal label to appear vertically? For example, if I was showing dates on the x-axis, how can I make the date show from bottom to top instead of left to right?

 

2. If one of the data I'm collecting from a field in the database is presented in number instead of it's actual meaning. Like if I have the field flavor and entries 0-5 where 0-5 is a different flavor, how can I present the report where 0-5 is translated to their corresponding flavors? I seem to remember using a *.properties file but I don't remember how to use it.
