Local DTD

2003-04-25 01:55

Will it be possible to have the DTD on internal network? LAN, intranet etc.

I have same problem, we are using Jasper in a closed network, and there is no access to the DTD on the Internet.

Hi,

I repeat: JasperReports does NOT try to load

DTDs from the network.

Those URLs are only symbolic identifiers that

point to the DTD files found in the JAR itself

and that are loaded as classpath resources.

Thank you,

Teodor

I thought that the DTD was related to a timeout problem (I know, it's in another question as well...)

We are still having timeout problems and you asked for a stacktrace. Part of it is here:

dori.jasper.engine.JRException: Operation timed out: no further information

java.io.InterruptedIOException: Operation timed out: no further information at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(PlainSocketImpl.java(Compiled Code)) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(PlainSocketImpl.java:130) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(PlainSocketImpl.java:117) at java.net.Socket.(Socket.java:271) at java.net.Socket.(Socket.java:100) at sun.net.NetworkClient.doConnect(NetworkClient.java:56) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(HttpClient.java:322) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(HttpClient.java:433) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.(HttpClient.java:262) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.(HttpClient.java:272) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(HttpClient.java:284) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.connect(HttpURLConnection.java:372) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(HttpURLConnection.java:457) at java.net.URL.openStream(URL.java:821) at org.apache.xerces.impl.XMLEntityManager.startEntity(XMLEntityManager.java(Compiled Code)) at
