error with scriptlet

hi,

 

i get a class cast exception when i try to use my custom class with a couple of methods.

my class looks something like

 

class myclass extends JRDefaultScriptlet{

 

myMethod1(){}

myMethod2(){}

}

 

so far i have been using the internal scriptlet of ireport and things have worked fine.

can anyone tell me how to compile a custom class???
