how to increase width to be more than 530

I am trying to increase the width more than 530 in IReport. How do I do that, without it giving me an indication in red saying out of bounds?

The width is based on the size of the canvas that you are working with, minus the margins.

 

 

So if you want to be able to define elements wider than 530pixels then you need to set the report width to a higher value. You can do this in one of 4 ways:

 

 

use a larger preset page size (eg. A3 instead of A4)

change from portrait to landscape

define a custom page size

reduce the size of the margins
