dynamic JDBC connection

Hello!

 

I'm just starting with jasperreports. I'm hoping to be able to incorporate it into a REALbasic program I'm writing.

 

Some of the reports I need, need to run as the logged in user. Is there a way of using a PARAMETER for the username and password in the JDBC connection string? In other words, I'd like to be able to pass the database username and password within the Hashmap. Is this possible?

JasperReports does not create JDBC connections, the caller needs to create it and pass it when filling a report.

 

You need to write some code around JasperReports where you create the connection.
