TimeSeries Chart in JasperReport

Hi,

I am really new to JasperReports, however I have succesfully generated report files using iReport. I am using the generated .jasper file within a web application to dynamically produce the report I need. When I try to run this report i get the Exception:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Null 'period' argument.

 

I have searched through the documentation and samples but can't find where I should be setting this. The time period is correct in the .jrxml file and I think oit is ok in the .jasper file as iReport generates the.pdf report exactly as i want it to appear.

 

Any suggestions or does anybody know of any examples showing how generate a time series report that may help me.

Try version 1.2.8.

Did not work at all for me in 1.2.5 and upgraded to 1.2.8... Worked fine.
